Third Saturday Seminar 2012-2013
Return of the Elders, Unleash your Wisdom
Session 06
“Income Inequality and Wealth Disparity in America and the Causes”
Egberto Willies
Saturday March 23, 2013 (4th Sat. due to Spring Break)
9:30AM til 12:00 noon
Room B-102, (the usual place), Lone Star College – Montgomery
3200 College Park Drive – Conroe, TX – 77384 – 936.273.7000
Followed by (for those of you who wish to stay for a while) participation in “Politics Done Right,”
a call-in program he hosts regularly every Saturday from Noon to 2:00 pm
He will set up right where we meet in B-102 after our regular session.
Our speaker will be Egberto Willies. He had been recommended to me and I recently enjoyed reading his book, “As I See It, Class Warfare: The Only Resort to Right Wing Doom.” In addition to “Politics Done Right,” he is an active blogger, Vice President of the Coffee Party, USA and co-hosts another weekly online program show, “Move to Amend.” He is also a frequent contributor to CNN.
Egberto, is originally from Panama. He was born in the same hospital at the Coco Solo Naval Air Station as future presidential candidate John McCain and educated in Canal Zone schools, learning not only Panamanian civics and history but American as well.
He is a self-employed software engineer who has always been interested in politics and its ultimate effects on society at large. He is an ardent Liberal who believes tolerance is essential and that political involvement should be a requirement for citizenship.
Today’s politics affect your finances, your wealth, your job, and your income directly. America is currently at a tipping point. There is an ideological battle between the Left Progressive Liberals and the Right Wing Conservatives…

And as usual we will start with 45 minutes of Current events:
Habemus Papam. The Roman Catholics of the world have a new leader. What do you suppose is on his “To Do List?” What did Benedict leave locked in the safe?
Our President is traveling Israel-Palestine. What can we expect from that?. Netanyahu finally formed a government but nobody has relaxed. Is Abbas losing his grip. Gaza? Hamas? Why is everybody acting like a jerk? Has everybody given up on the two state solution? Do you get the feeling that Netanyahu has the future of the United States of America in his hands.
As the budget debate begins in earnest in Congress this week, President Obama and Senate Republicans have something in common — neither of them has produced a federal budget yet this year. Congress goes on recess the end of the week. Can anything by April 15th?
How’s your sequester going? Will recovery catch up in time?
The gun control bill will drop the “assault rifle” provision. What’s left.
Tomorrow, March 20, 2013 is the tenth anniversary of our invasion of Iraq to take away the weapons of mass destruction that weren’t there. It only cost us an estimated 4000 plus American Lives, 100,000 Iraqi lives and some say 1.5 trillion dollars (I think they low ball) I heard we have spent 60 billion so far in the rebuilding of Iraq. I’ve lost track what did we win for all that?
Come, join the discussion! Let’s see if there is hope!
